Parshu Ram- The Saint with Sword

Parshu Ram also known as Bhargava- the great warrior is called to be 6 th carnation of Lord Vishnu in Treta (3rd) yuga, belongs to Bhrigu dynasty and son  of Renuka and Jamagni. He is follower of great father- Shiva. He is a wise man with great courage. His real name is Rama but due to blessed with the divya weapon ‘PARSHU’ (Axe)  by Lord Shiva, he is known as Parshuram. As per calculation made by wise astrologers, he is born in on the pious day of ‘Akashya Tritya’  in shukal paksha (Moon)  of Baisakh (March-April) month. He took birth to fight with ill-will bad warriors who were troubling the mother earth and her people with their proud and bad intention. His martial guru is Lord Shiva-himself and Sage Kashyap taught him about Vedas. His prime target is to take care of people. He is enlightened, orator, spiritual warrior of all time.  He has always opposed the injustice. He has always helped and protected the exploited, sad, oppressed people. His selfless character is an example for all.  It is well said that there is Rama before Lord Rama. He remained active during the period of Ramayana. In that period, Kannauj was ruled by king Gadhi. He had a beautiful daughter named as Satyawati. She was got married with Bhirgu’s son Rishik. Bhirgu blessed her and offered her a boon. Satyawati asked for a brother. Bhirgu got impressed by her and gave her two glasses of sacred water that she and her mother should drink them respectively and by drinking that both would be blessed with sons. He further blessed Satyawati with a pious son. On seeing this Satyawati’s mother changed her glass with her daughter. Bhirgu came to know by this dishonesty through his divine vision. He told Satyawati about that with informing the effect that the Brahmin who would take birth from her would have the qualities of warrior. Satyawati requested that despite having warrior’s qualities he should be a Brahmin by his conduct. Bhirgu happily consented to this. After some time Satyawati gave birth to Jamagni. He was very brave but helpful to everyone. He was married with Renuka and blessed with five sons including of Parshuram. Once Renuka went for swimming in a river where she saw Chitrarath. She got sexually aroused by seeing him. When Jamagni came to know about it, he ordered his sons to kill their mother but except Parshuram refused for doing so. Parshuram cut her head and brought it to his father. Jamagni got impressed by seeing his obedience and asked him for a boon. Parshuram asked that Renuka, his mother may alive again w/o remembering that fateful incident. He further gave him the boon of not losing any war with a long life. After sometime a Chhatriya king Kartvirya came to Jamagni’s ashram. He saw the magical Kamdhenu cow which could fulfill any wish made to her. He ordered to hand over it to him. On refusing, Kartvirya killed Jamagni. When Parshuram came back to ashram, he saw his mother weeping endlessly over the death of his father. He took the oath to kill all bad chhatriyas king who have no kindness for their people. He killed Kartvirya and then 21 times killed all the bad chhatriyas from the earth. It led to filling of five lakes of blood. At last Rishik came and stopped him by doing so. He donated all the winning land to good kings and went into hermit for pray at Mohinder Mountain. He is still to living near Aihole river where he washed his blood stained axe. He is said to be waiting there to train Kalki for martial training.
